Bet you didn't know clitoridectomy was performed in the US, did you?

Yet at the same time

Alas, the invention of the vibrator had nothing to do with love in the afternoon or sexual liberation. It was originally a labor-saving device to help doctors give their female patients a ''hysterical paroxysm'' -- that is, an orgasm.

What in the world were doctors doing vibrating their female patients to orgasm? The simple answer is that their fingers got tired. The complicated answer is delivered in Maines's short, stimulating, repetitive and occasionally frustrating book, ''The Technology of Orgasm: 'Hysteria,' the Vibrator, and Women' s Sexual Satisfaction.''

A good theory, Mok, but did Eve really need an opposable thumb?

I wonder, is it a temporal thing or a spiritual thing.... It seems to me both have issues.

If it's a temporal, physical based rule to not M., because every seed is holy, then wouldn't it follow that only procreational sex be allowed? Recreational sex with ones spouse even using the rhythm system would seem to be wasting seed also. But is this a TR interview question?

I guess I don't actually know the church stance on birth control.

If it's a spiritual based rule to not M.,because one would be sinning in their heart, would it be OK to M. if one were to only fantasize about ones spouse? Also, aren't there numerous other sins just as awful as M. that one could think about that should then also be on the prohibited list?

Nobody else does either considering the Clintonesque directive contained in the GHI.

Masturbation is a wonderful practice. I thank my lucky stars that I have the perfect tools in my hand. Feels sooooo good.

And, the church can't do a damn thing to stop me! I encourage everyone to masturbate!

And, I'm still a member on the church rolls.
