In previous posts I've made it pretty clear that I'm
may not be a TBM, but I'll answer this question anyway. What "other major life decisions do" I make in this same way? None.
None of my other major life decisions have had as much of a
need for the authentication that comes solely from God. If what I want is to know something about God, then without
input from God I can never hope to know it, so I have to get that input. For other life decisions; who I'm going to marry, what career I'm going to pursue, whether my wife and I should try to adopt some kids; God's input is valuable, and I would be wise to look for it, but in each of these cases God
has already given me a kernel of truth I can use as the foundation for the things I know, so it's
no longer essential that God at the moment of decision give me some information that's crucial to the decision.
