We (my better half and I) are off to spend the weekend at the coast with my grown up son.
Regardless of the weather (it is forecast rain, rain, some more rain and a little bit of extra rain for good measure) we will be donning our wetsuits to spend hours in the surf bodyboarding. We will stop for lunch, then go right back in.

I'm not very good at bodyboarding - unlike the other two. But that's not really the point.

This. This is where my joy is.

We are headed off to Myrtle Beach the first week of March for the kids' spring break.

It's kind of fun how everyone has their own "relaxation spot". Myrtle is ours. :-)

I would like to bare testimony of the effectiveness of a good quality wetsuit!

Sea temperature was less than 5 degree's C and we didn't feel a thing.
Mind you, we had the full ensemble of long wetsuit, feet, hands and balaclava.
But for the exception of a significant bump in the front of my wetsuit inbetween the abdomen and rib area, we could have been mistaken for a bunch of Navy Seals!

There's also nothing quite like beach bar food - exceptional.

When we go to Myrtle, there is a place called Broadway at the Beach. Wonderful food! There is a Sushi restaraunt called King Kong Sushi that is incredible! It is expensive, but worth it!

My favorite bar/restaraunt, though, is Landry's! They have the most amazing oysters you will ever eat! They also have a "to die for" dessert called the Bananna Foster. OMG! I have to go there for my birthday meal.
