All right, let's try a different approach. Please indicate some examples of hearsay and rancid drivel in Palmer's book. That shouldn't be too hard, should it?

Oh please, any citation of William Law as a credible source during the period immediately following his excommunication is completely unacceptable to me. I don't buy anything he has to say. If you want to call him credible (which I'm sure you do), go nuts. Most Mormons are never going to find him credible so I don't know why you are all trying so hard? But, that in NO way means that I'm stating that Grant is lying however.

I seriously doubt Tobin has read the book. Not only does he repeatedly dodge the simple yes or no question, but he really isn't supposed to read a book like that anyway. He can read the FARMS review of it (which I'm sure he has) but he isn't allowed to read the actual book (unless he is a FARMS reviewer of course). We need to cut him some slack, for when he was tempted to actually read the book he looked at his ring and decided to choose the right.

First you state that "most Mormons" are never going to find William Law credible. Then you say that you are not willing to claim he (Grant Palmer quoting William Law) is a liar while stating, "I don't buy anything he (William Law) has to say" .
What does this stunning display of logic say about your discernment, judgement and ability to reason, or indeed (in your view) that of "most Mormons"? _______________

When I take issue with a book, I like to first start with the page numbers the offending issue covers, reproduce relevant portions of said text, and then explain why and where it goes wrong.
