Yes, as staying up beyond your bedtime and murder are the same scale of offense.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

That's not the issue. The issue is God giving a commandment of "thou shalt not murder" and then commanding people to murder each other. Apparently, murder isn't actually "evil" it's just an arbitrary rule God made up to test our faith. Is that about right?

Only murder those god tells you to murder. In Abraham's case, his son.
Obedience to a capricious god is the only absolute.

And yet the lord's plans were thwarted. The nation fell into disbelief and was destroyed. Why did the lord not have Nephi slay Laman and Lemuel why he was at it? Seems like a better solution.
I have addressed these concerns already.
A photocopier would have taken away from disposing of an evil man, and the opportunity to try Nephi's faith/obedience.
Again...the Lord's plans weren't thwarted, because generations lived by the Law because of this event. Furthermore, as I already pointed out, Laman and Lemuel living didn't cause the ultimate unbelief of the Nephites...they rejected the truth.

God's plans are always fulfilled, praise his name!!!!
(How do we know what God's plans are? Simple. Whatever happens is his plan. So he always succeeds!!! Isn't it marvellous?)
Were you expecting any serious response from me to this...?

You were the one who introduced the ridiculous Hitler analogy, not I.
But it is you who is misapplying it.

While the actions are quite different, the point remains.

The LDS Church teaches that murder is bad because it takes away the agency of the victim. We deny them the opportunity to live according to the Gospel. We don't know what they will do...the Lord does, however. He is the ultimate judge, and who are we to put a time restriction on that? If the Lord deems that a soul is lost, He can command their mortal life to end.

I got it Gordon. God's plans are not thwarted. Except when they are.
It is better that one man perish than a nation dwindle. God's plan.
Nation dwindled anyway. God's bigger plan.
