I stand corrected. That was Scott Lloyd.

At least the NYTimes reported the reasons why the guy is facing church discipline. And not because of being critical of Mitt Romeny. MormonThink is not a faith based website. I think that we can all agree on that.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

Are you going to tell us what is incorrect on the site, or why you think it is wrong to tell the truth?

The site has a certain bias and it uses that bias when it writes about the LDS church. The bias is certainly seen on that site. And that is the point. It is not what they perceive to be truth that is the problem. But the bias way in which they write their tnterpretation. It is meant to lead people away. And this is why Twede was called in by the Stake President.

This is BS. The church leaders aren't upset at the "tone" of the articles, but the substance.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Re: NY Times reporting Scott Gordon says he sent Twede posti
Scott Gordon, president of the Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research, an organization in Redding, Calif., that defends Mormon theology, said that he had forwarded materials posted by Mr. Twede to church officials in Salt Lake City.
“It has nothing to do with Romney,” Mr. Gordon said. “I know members very high up in the church who are voting for Obama.”
“It’s about him posting on a blog that he was actively in there trying to subvert people’s beliefs in the L.D.S. church,” Mr. Gordon said, using the shorthand for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Don't know if this will bolster their case at the Maxwell Institute, but I suspect it has gained FAIR new found respect in the eyes of both BYU Security Special Ops and the KGB.

Scott Gordon is a documented liar, what else would one expect from him other than being a creep.

So you agree that it reports the facts then? Maybe you could provide some of the bias you are referring to show how it is somehow going to lead people away, even though it is still telling them the facts. Is it really the tone you think it has, that leads people to reconsider their beliefs, or the facts being presented. I notice you again say something about why they did this or that, which you cannot possibly know, or did you read something that directly quotes them saying why they called him in.

This is not very faith promoting at all. In fact, just the opposite. The tone is bias...the end result is biased and there is an agenda. It is designed to cast doubt with woulda, shoulda, and coulda.

Re: NY Times reporting Scott Gordon says he sent Twede posti
My guess is that Gordon is a Romney supporter who really didn't want the lid blown off of the theocracy issue.
Personally, I don't believe that the Church would directly influence a Romney presidency, but that does not mean that the theocratic past of Mormonism has been dealt with in such a way that everyone can put it comfortably behind them.
The problem, as I see it, is not that Mitt is necessarily extreme (no matter how hard he works at playing Tea Party extremist on tv), but that there are too many political nut jobs in US Mormonism, people like Glenn Beck, who show that they truly see the world in some bizarro, apocalyptic, conspiracy framework. I think it entirely reasonable to be concerned about such tendencies.
I see the nuts as holdovers from the theocratic days. A sizable Mormon minority is definitely on the political fringe, probably because a great part of early Mormon history was Kingdom first, country optional. The impact of that lingers.
