You and I must be neighbors! Thanks schreech, I will check them both out.

I also have plans to try Umami Burger when I get a chance. I hear it's very good. I have tried "Smash Burger" as well, not bad. I tried 'Five Guys' recently. A good burger, but I didn't care for the ambiance.

I'm still searching for the best fish and chips. I come from England originally and I would love to find some that were as good.

I have been itching to go to umami burger but every time i have stopped by or been in the area, it has a line out the door. That said, I would love to meet up there sometime if you are game...Also, if you find yourself unable to get into umami, hit taco asylum in the same complex and get the flight of tacos...I dream about their tacos...

Chip Shop in Brooklyn. Also have mushy peas etc.

Amen! I actually read an article recently about the top burgers in the US (top 20 or something like that) and almost all of the burgers were from high end restaurants, sort of one off locations, except they included the in-n-out burger on the list. Here is a similar list - the other one I read was a bit longer and wasn't based on state:

Any place that serves mushy peas is worth a trip! I make my own every now and then. Especially for Thanks Giving and Christmas.

Brooklyn is about as far as I can travel and still be in the U.S. I've been there a couple of times in the past. If I find myself there again (not totally out of the question), I'll check it out. Maybe you can meet me there for a pint.

It has to be a cheese burger 'animal style'.

A pair of 3x3's, animal style, and a large diet coke, and I'm in heaven.

Now I'm regretting that I got Port-of-Subs for lunch today... should've gone to In-n-Out.

If ambience gets any points in the equation, the best burger anywhere is Ruby's in Huntington Beach CA.

You must be another neighbor! I usually end up at Ruby's on the end of Seal Beach pier (much closer to me). It's a good long walk down the pier. I enjoy looking in the fisherman's buckets to see what they have caught.
