I know what it takes and what its results are. I don't have to invoke mysticism or my special feelings or imagination. It's all out there to share with the world. You take the opposite approach of producing some subjective assertion without evidence and bristling at cross examination. That isn't science, Frank. You've espoused pseudoscientific concepts repeatedly. It's a sad fact. You're not alone; many of your fellows do the same thing. That's an education problem. It's not a problem caused by some cabal of imposters who pretend to be scientists by doing things called "observation" and "measurement" and "falsification". Don't be an Eloi, Frank. It's ungrateful and immature.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
Oh that's right. People have to be "open" to the electric universe at Thunderf00t's site otherwise they are merely parrots of the establishment. What you don't realize Frank, after your very recent rant about being accused of believing in a hollow earth, is that the electric universe is just as much junk pseudoscience as is the hollow earth.
If someone allows their discipline to remove their humanity I have no respect for them.
What damage to my humanity that exists if any, would be due to encountering religious fundies online.

No, Dr. Shades. Eloi. Frank doesn't have the interest in science or rationality necessary to create or maintain a modern technological society. He would like those that do to continue to support, feed, clothe, heal and protect him, but he refuses to listen to them, respect them, or learn from them. Frank is an ungrateful parasite. If it weren't Celestial I would put it more strongly.
Just how much school do I need. I took 3 semesters of calculus. Three semesters of physics. Two semesters of chemistry. A class on differentials and another on applied mathematics. This along with a bunch of other classes. Just what have you taken to know about science?
So why don't you use any of that, Frank? You seem to have forgotten everything and you don't care to learn more. Sad.

About every ten years or so I review my text books so I don't forget the main points in higher math. I don't use it daily so in time it slips away. It would take me six months to really get back into the fine points.
I think you fail to see my stand on science. For me it is a belief system. Yes there are times it produces some devices which make living easier and I would hope that these would be shared so every human on the planet could benefit from them. But that does not happen. Instead science has become a product engine for sale to the highest bidder. Religion on the other hand traps people into an idea. One that controls their behavior. Some religions teach hate for their fellow man. Even Christianity for the most part teaches hate for some people. There is one religion which teaches hate for all mankind unless they join their religion. They teach that the world needs to collapse into war so their next leader will come.
For me the people buried in science and religion are the same. They wish to control the thinking of all men. To actually think for yourself is not allowed. For me I don't think man will advance to a greater society until we break these chains and have respect for each other. I have no problem with you embracing science. But you have a problem with me not embracing it. It is the same with religion. I respect their choice to believe what they wish. But they have no respect for any other idea about reality. Currently man has made goverments that protect their socioeconomic systems. And in some cases protect their religious systems.
These systems we create are born of ego and a weak mind. We make systems that assume that people are not equal. Our systems divide and do not unite. But a day will come when all of these systems will go away and mankind will slowly turn away from inequality. A day will come in which all men will have joy and free will will be the guiding principle. But until that day comes I will use my free will as I see fit. This may not sit well with others but that is their problem not mine.
I have greater faith in science's ability to eliminate inequality than religion. Religion's primary product seems to be division, an us vs them world view.
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.
Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality. ~Bill Hamblin

It is a misuse of both to promote death, and suffering.

I agree. It is religion that stands in the way. Maybe science would fix itself if religion was not so powerful. All of our systems on the earth are filled with men who for the most part have accepted the tenets of religion. But what do you replace religion with? Naturalism is a tenet of science. People would be jumping from the pan into the fire. I think people need to know that they don't need any of these belief systems. There is nothing wrong with saying I don't know. But science overreaches as well as religion. Knowing man if religion was removed men would use science the same way they use religion today. People need to wake up and realize they don't need a God whether that God be in a religious book or a science book. Science should be viewed as a tool to obtain knowledge not a belief system.

Um, it isn't a belief system Frank. It just appears to be to you because you are so far out there in an imagined unevidenced "reality" of your own construction.
