Yep. Essentially, there's a pack of a few posters that if they know they're losing the argument they will take it off topic or start getting personal to get the thread locked.

I actually genuinely like a few of the people over there. They feel like old friends... I've had 100s and 100s of conversations with them over the course of four years. But there are others that I just want to slap!

Either way, Mormonism just isn't getting my emotional attention in the way it used to any more.

I'm right there with you. It's the nastiness of some people, not the church, that gets to me.
