What's the NBA's policy and why aren't they experiencing the same level of blowback from a primarily African-American playership like the NFL is?

The NBA says:

"Players, coaches and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the national anthem."

It hasn't been an issue because no players have tested it yet. Maybe it's more annoying to kneel on hardwood floors for three minutes than grass or turf.

The answer is simple. Get rid of the anthem at sporting events. It is just a dumb exercise in flag worshiping that has nothing to do with the sport.
