Those GOP politicians must be absolutely awesome at governing.

Great example of your ignorance:

New Mexico , #2 on list - R Governor (female by the way), both Senators are D, 2 of 3 Representatives are D, Attorney General is D, Secretary of State is D, and then there's the NM State Senate where 16 R to 26 D and State House with 32 R to 38 D.
In 2016, New Mexico voted 48% Clinton and 40% Trump.

So when you say stuff like "aha ALL red states", you just look stupid because aside from knowing nothing about these States, you obviously don't know how government works.
Looks like New Mexico is a bit of an outlier on this list, as the article even states the following:

A large number of people living on reservations and a high number of illegal immigrants skews the numbers a bit for the Land of Enchantment.”

It’s interesting to note the broad similarities between the other 9 states.

Nevertheless, the post was ignorant by its bigoted and uninformed proclamation.

Great trivia, but the post was still ignorant. The "skew" does not actually discount the ignorant charge for "party" responsibility.

Nope, it really isn't that interesting when people use "broad similarities" to promote ignorant conclusions.

Cool statement. I may need to quote it back to you in future posts. : )

LOL

I knew this idiot would focus on New Mexico and completely ignore all the other states on the list. That's the GOP strategy. Focus on the outliers like they're the rule and not the exceptions.

Idiot.

Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation. Did the republican policies lead to the poor conditions of these states, or do the poor conditions create a culture where the people keep voting in republicans? The sterotypical southern trailer trash is likely to blame their crappy life on minorities, gays, and the "deep state". It's unlikely that this sterotype will vote for a Democrat. Take this same person and give him/her an education, move him/her to a blue state in a city that has career opportunities other than walmart cashier and coal miner, and that person will likely shift their political thinking a bit.

Yes! Isn't it remarkable how subgenius almost invarably lives up to our lowest expectations of him?

I acknowledge, however, that I overstated the case somewhat when I said "all." I apologize for that.

I never did. I developed my opinions on immigration while living in Latin America.

I'm not sure how I managed to pass college english given that I never changed my opinions on liberalism as a mental disorder. I just got good enough at pretending to be liberal as well.

Admittedly, I'm using a broad stereotype of red state rednecks. Not everyone fits the stereotype.

According to the analysis, the top 10 best states for health care are:

Hawaii
Iowa
Minnesota
New Hampshire
District of Columbia
Connecticut
South Dakota
Vermont
Massachusetts
Rhode Island

MeghanMcCain over on the view ranted about who would pay for healthcare for all. Seems there are only two red states in this list.
Australia’s health expenditure to GDP was 9.4% in 2013
The United States was by far the highest spender, with the health sector making up 17.1% of GDP
in 2013

Interesting comparisons with the US. The US has many state taxes?
Wealthiest state California

I live in one of the reddest districts in my state, and I can say with certainty that you are correct. However, it's also been my experience that certain stereotypes take hold for a reason. The trap is assuming the stereotype and judging each person before you meet them rather than determining whether they fit the stereotype or not after the fact.
