Well, they can’t acknowlrdge any such thing, because being proactive about any climate issues might result in actions that could add another $2.17 a year to their taxes. It’s all about the money and the short term, and they’ll be happy to leave it to the grandkids to clean up or deal with their billion-dollar messes if they can have their pocket change today.

If you guys actually wanted the truth, you would look up those couple of studies.
I'm not convinced global warming isn't happening but I firmly believe their proposed regulations will do little if anything to stop global warming and will likely damage the US economy.
What proposed regulations do you mean and how do you think they would not impact global warming as well as negatively impact the economy?

Have found that there is NO INCREASE in either for the last 100 years + of recorded history compared to now. If you guys actually wanted the truth, you would look up those couple of studies.
Well with all your reading you must have some good quality sources to back up this assertion.
What's fascinating to me is that ldsfaqs has an opinion on climate change at all. I mean, it's not surprising that he does given the political propaganda surrounding it. It's that a priori it's an scientific topic that he couldn't begin to comprehend and not something you'd expect him to care about in the abstract. It's the politics that draws him in and the right-wing think tanks filtering down to sources he consumes that have determined his opinion. You can see so plainly how someone like him's opinions were bought and paid for.

That's what's so maddening. Wealthy older conservatives apparently couldn't care less how severely their grandkids and great grandkids will be affected by climate change, as long as they are safely in their graves by the time the worst consequences of mankind's failure to acknowledge and take measures to ameliorate it become impossible to ignore, or even become irreversible.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Plainly there’s no need to add the wink emoji to understand what you’re saying, but - just for fun - I’ll nudge it one more step into the obvious:

It is well established in science that warmer oceans produce stronger hurricanes, so Global Warming can't **** be a good thing. I have a relative living in North Carolina. **** the Republicans!
Last time i checked it wasn't the Republicans or the Democrats that controlled the climate. For example, not only does Anerica have a minor influence on global temperatures, but it is people like yourself.
“Over the past few years, the sea ice that surround the South Pole has steadily been growing. This past September, at the end of the Southern Hemisphere’s winter, the extent of Antarctica’s sea ice reached 19.51 million square kilometers, breaking a 35-year record that dated back to the start of data being collected in 1978. (In comparison, from 1981 to 2010, the average extent on the same date was just 18.5 million square miles.)”

The record levels topped out around 2014 and then started decreasing. Peak ice occurs around September with low points occurring in our later winter in the northern hemisphere between February and March. And in March 2018,..."Sea ice cover in Antarctica has dropped to its second-lowest on record, Australian authorities said Friday" - as in March of this year (2018).
The Republican Party and its conservative allies have been the most significant force in the world for stalling international action on climate change. It has done this through thwarting carbon control efforts domestically and internationally and by manufacturing a large constituency that will mobilize against future efforts to create a political cost to doing so. It’s why yahoos in this thread are expressing skepticism in climate change and its anticipated effects, in fact. It bears substantial responsibility for the harms caused by a rapidly warming planet that could have been reduced.
The problem with denier BS is that you really have to stay current. https://nsidc.org/cryosphere/sotc/sea_ice.html If you want to understand, you have to be genuinely curious — not just troll the internets for something that reinforces your prejudices.
