From my (amateurish) understanding of the brain, which is worth about as much as a fart in the wind, but I like hearing myself type….

Her being able to recount in excruciating detail the event itself, but not the exact where/when/etc. -- this is a common element of how traumatic events are processed and retained. The brain tends to focus on the event itself so-much-so that it is at the expense of other information. This is why PTSD can be so pervasive, as the event(s) that is causing the trauma is captured by the brain in hyper-detail.

Now, that’s not to say that those details can’t be wrong. It’s possible that she attributed the wrong identity to her assailants (it’s certainly happened before in such cases), or confused some other details.

However, based solely on the details she has shared, and the things she can’t recall… it’s reasonable to count it as evidence that she went through trauma, as much as evidence against (if not more-so).

Ironically, the more one recalls a memory, the less accurate the memory becomes. Each recollection doesn't just read the memory -- it rewrites it. So, it would not be surprising at all if she remembered some details wrong or was not confident of some specific details. That's why I think investigating to find out if she told anyone at or near the time would be helpful.
