I, for one, and I very much doubt that I am the only one on this board, or particularly unique in that respect. Since you were once a believing Mormon yourself, I'm sure you know personally lots of people who never drank anything alcoholic in their entire lives. I doubt that is all that rare even among people who have never been Mormons. I don't think that makes me all that special or admirable. I simply don't like the taste of the stuff. I know that because out of curiousity I have had a sip or two of various kinds of alcoholic drinks, including whiskey, vodka, beer and wine, just to see what they tasted like. I didn't like any of them. Consequently I don't feel even the slightest bit tempted by them. It is not particularly hard or admirable to avoid imbibing something I never acquired a taste for. I fully recognize that there are other people who drink occasionally who are, all things considered, much more accomplished and admirable than I ever was or ever will be, so I don't judge others who happen to enjoy a snort from time to time.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

If they did, he would already be out of consideration based on the demonstrated lies he has already told in previous hearings before the Senate.
There's no question they'll vote for him. They could have been standing in the room watching him assault her and they'd still vote for him. The GOP is the party of rape.

How on Earth is this guy supposed to call constitutional "balls and strikes?"
I heard that line during the slice of time that I had a chance to listen. He sounded like a loon. And he kept on going with the accusations, threats and partisan BS. It’s why I have no faith in his abilities at this point.
I think that if we were in a different time, his juvenile ranting would have actually swayed a number of Republicans to realize what a poor choice he really could be, but given that they’re just wanting to get any bag of flesh on the bench at this point that sports the ‘correct’ conservative credentials as supplied by the Federalist Society, they’d still be voting Kavanaugh in even if he threw in comments about his belief in the Comet Ping Pong Pizza-Hillary Clinton Child/Pedophile Sex Ring.

Yes, let’s support the case for rejecting an idea rooted in honesty by claiming ‘that’s what Nazi’s do”. Lol. You’re a hoot.

1. Where exactly did I reject any idea? 2. Where exactly in SomeSchumck's post were there "roots of honesty"? The guy wears his I-am-emotional-and-stupid-and-hate-all-things-Republican spittle on his sleeve.

Every time someone quotes a substandard post, I remember why I have him on ignore. The only credit he deserves is for being able to pack so much stupidity into just a couple paragraphs.

We can run with your claim that you’re not rejecting the idea, rather just claiming that the idea is what Nazis would do. This new equivocation of yours is fine with me.
Unfortunately, your statement still shows an astounding ignorance of actual history along with not fitting the circumstances here. But, that’s pretty much par for the course as far as you are concerned.

Yet you never ignore, you always do cowardly posts like these....so you don't really ignore, you really just hide.

What can we really expect from a guy who defends the party of rape?
