Oh, I thought you thought he was in trouble due to the Kavanaugh stuff. Someone, I can't remember who, tried telling me that WV was a solidly red state, but I thought differently because of Manchin. Maybe WV's state legislature is mostly red, I don't care to Google it.

Remind me, wasn't he that one D senator that confirmed Kavanaugh?

I think he did, and I have to wonder if he was playing to his electorate or if he really just felt he should be confirmed. I have no idea.

Forecasters like Upshot and 538 currently are projecting, with a lot of uncertainty mind you, an outcome highly similar to what I educated guessed would happen for quite some time. And yet I'm intuitively convinced the Democrats are completely screwed and are worse off than what we currently know. Bad brain. Bad.

We're getting really close to the scenario where the House comes down to a few close races in California where they take weeks to figure out how people voted, aren't we?

A former US Army Ranger just flipped a seat in Colorado for the Democrats. That's pretty cool to see.

I don’t think so. If current leads in races hold, Democrats could lock up the house without counting on California.

I maintain that a slight D win in the house is good for GOP, it effectively guarantees Trump wins in 20. The way it's looking to me is this is playing out the same as 16. All the same divisions reinforced.

Yeah, we know Dog. You frame everything so that you win even when you lose.
