Because it didn’t hit an intern.

no one ever claimed "hit"

It is bad enough that we have a President without a sense of decorum and restraint. We do not need the same behavior in the White House press corps.

The karate chop was utter nonsense.

Acosta is a hack. His arrogance and insistence for "becoming the story" is his undoing. Trump has manipulated the media consistently for +18months because modern media is ego driven. Acosta neved asked real questions or cared about real answers...Acosta wanted to argue and wanted airtime for his proclamations. Acosta has no professional qualities that can be reasonably defended by anyone on this board....and i challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

He works for CNN? It's a hard gig to get if you're a retard.

It was Trump who turned Acosta into a household name because Trump is too immature to handle simple questions that he doesn't like without turning it into a very public tantrum. Looks like Acosta has gotten the better of Trump.

Nope.
at the same press conference Trump answered 68 questions from 35 reporters for about 2 hours.
Trump has successfully exposed the arrogance of the press and turned them into emotional distractions by living rent free in their heads for months. Trump doesn't spend all day talking about them....

Ok.

From wiki:

Acosta's father arrived in the U.S. at age 11 as a refugee from Cuba three weeks prior to the Cuban Missile Crisis and was raised in Virginia.[1] His mother is of Irish and Czech ancestry.[2] Acosta graduated from Annandale High School, a public senior high in Annandale, Virginia, in 1989. In 1993, he earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication, with a minor in political science, from James Madison University.[3][4] While in school, Acosta volunteered for WXJM, the student-run radio station.[5] He also worked as a reporter at WSVA, a local radio station.

So, he got a degree in the field from a decent school in which he works. Looks like he gained some experience as a student, and perhaps interning. He's around 20-21 y.o. at this point. This is basically professionalization 101. Not looking good for your incredibly retarded assertion so far...

Acosta began his professional career in radio, and his first job was with WMAL in Washington, D.C..

He was good enough to get hired right out of college.

In 1994, Acosta left WMAL and entered television, working for WTTG-TV as a desk assistant. In 1995, Acosta moved in front of the camera, becoming a reporter and substitute anchor at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tennessee, and remained in that job until 1998.

At age 24 he was good enough to get in front of a camera in a mid-major city.

From 1998 until 2000, Acosta worked as a reporter for KTVT-TV in Dallas.

At age 27 he gets a huge gig in a massive metroplex. Your incredibly dumbass statement about Acosta looks to be faltering.

From 2000 until 2001, Acosta was a reporter for WBBM-TV in Chicago.

At age 29-30 he gets a huge another gig in a the Chicago metroplex. Your incredibly dumbass statement about Acosta looks to be faltering.

From 2001 until 2003, Acosta worked as a correspondent for CBS News' Newspath service, based both in Dallas and Chicago. From February 2003 until March 2007, Acosta was a correspondent for CBS News and was based first in New York and then in Atlanta.[3]

From 30-36 he gets ANOTHER huge gig. Your incredibly dumbass statement about Acosta is now patently retarded.

At CBS News, Acosta covered the 2004 campaign of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, the Iraq War from Baghdad, and Hurricane Katrina. In April 2007, Acosta joined CNN.[3][4] During the following year, Acosta covered the 2008 presidential campaigns of Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, frequently appearing as an anchor of CNN's weekend political program, Ballot Bowl. Acosta later joined CNN's American Morning program as a correspondent and contributed to the network's coverage of the 2010 mid-term congressional election.

At only 36 yo he gets picked up by NATIONAL.

In February 2012, CNN promoted Acosta to the position of national political correspondent.[6] In his role as national political correspondent, Acosta was the network's lead correspondent in covering the 2012 presidential campaign of Republican nominee Mitt Romney. He was then the senior White House correspondent for CNN.[7] At a nationally televised news conference in November 2015, Acosta challenged President Obama on his administration's strategy for destroying the terrorist organization known as ISIS. "Why can't we take out these bastards," Acosta asked.[8]

In March 2016, Acosta traveled to Cuba to cover President Obama's historic trip to the island. At a rare news conference in Havana featuring both Obama and Cuban president Raúl Castro, Acosta pressed the Cuban leader on his country's human rights record.[9]

On January 9, 2018, Acosta was promoted to chief White House correspondent.[10]

So, he's an all-star. What in the world is wrong with you, subgenius? Don't you ever take, like, one damned second to google something or wikipedia it before you make a claim? You do this so often and with such consistency I'd like to believe you're a false flag Democrat operative playing the role of a dull Conservative. But the fact of the matter you're not. You're actually like this. This is you.

Jesus.

Mistakes were made on both side, though I tend to think the exchange was intended to create tension and it worked.

Trump calls on Acosta and leads in with the comment "Here we go". He sets it up. The exchange begins and then Trump directs him to end it, "That's enough".

Acosta totally ignores the President directive to pass to the next reporter and continues. The White House aide stupidly tries to grab the mic out of his hands and he blocks her. Trump shoots back with criticism and Acosta finally relinquishes the mic.

The whole scene and every player involved was unprofessional. I say it's intentional. The relationship between Trump and the Press benefits both parties.

And it draws our attention away from serious issues. The conversation has shifted from immigrants to Acosta. In other words, it totally works on us.

Damn, they're good.
