More news from Mormonleaks of sexual abuse by church leaders
MormonLeaks has just released emails from July 2016 summarizing allegations of sex abuse made by a sister missionary against her former Patriarch and the internal investigation conducted by the Mormon Church of those allegations.

Re: More news from Mormonleaks of sexual abuse by church lea
I've read the dialogue and it seems to be a "she said/they said" kind of situation, although the accused and his wife's behaviour would give one reasonable doubt about his innocence. They lied about how long the alleged victim stayed in their house - they stated it was six and a half weeks when it was later confirmed to be nearly 12 months. They denied the victim ever slept in a room alone, when it was later confirmed she did. Plus, despite being told to maintain no contact with the alleged victim, the wife of the accused tried to intimidate the victim into recanting the accusation.
There is no indication from the interviewers notes that he has engaged with the Holy Ghost in determining his position. Nor is there any indication given that a Church Court was going to be convened.
I also note from the e mail chain that Randy Austin, the external KM lawyer, had been given access to the accused's (and the victims?) membership records prior to any consultation with the accused.

It should be mentioned that Kent Richards' son is an attorney with Kirton McConkie and works these types of cases on behalf of the church. I believe Mormon Leaks published Matt Richards' deposition some time ago. It wouldn't be out of the question that the two might have at least informally discussed this case, if not officially.
In any event, the Temple President seems to be reacting like someone who is hiding something. While the church leaders seem to be on top of things here, I wonder what has been done since and whether the spotlighted Temple President is still in office or has been released?

1. Mormon leaders clearly have no power of discernment. They need to Stop claiming they do.
2. Mormon leaders are not professionally trained to investigate these matters. They need to stop acting like they are and hand these matters off to police departments.
3. Mormonism breeds pedophiles. The area authority mentioned because she was in her 14th year, it could be confusing because she might have seemed mature enough to engage in sexual activities, although that would be illegal.
4. “What would you say if President Monson were here?” How about, “Quit protecting sexual predators!!!!”

I respectfully disagree. This happened in the USA as indicated by the mormonleaks wiki. As a country, we do not breed pedophiles. Mormonism on the other hand not only breeds pedophiles, but worships them. Praise to the man!!!

I asked President- if he knew the age of Sister - when she lived in his home. He said he did not know but thought she might have been around 14. She was in fact 13. I bring this up because in *location redacted* sometimes we find that men believe that young women 14 and older are no longer considered children and can participate in sexual relations, though that certainly is not the law *location redacted*
It is not a problem breed by religion, it is problem breed by the general culture of where those in that redacted location.

Read the asterisk on the wiki that explains the color coding for the redactions found here. https://mormonleaks.io/wiki/index.php?title=Allegations_of_Sex_Abuse_by_a_Sister_Missionary_Against_Her_Former_Patriarch
* The alleged abuse happened in the United States.
Now tell me, is it ok to have sexual relations with 14 year olds in the United States? Stop defending the church Boris.

In what part of the United States do men have the idea that sexual activity with a 14 year girl is ok?
clearly the problem is the culture of that redacted location, so while the acts may have occurred in the United States, it seems likely it was in a territory, which would explain the apparent cultural belief about 14 year olds; which suggedt it is a problem breed by a culture and not a religion.

Upstate New York, early 1800's.
