What did you think of the Napolitano segment on Fox, subgenius?
I mean, he's a legal expert on Fox, so you should be fine with his views on Cohen and Trump, amirite?
Well, your post is idiotic. I take Nap's statements on their own merit. The idea that brand loyalty defines truth in all things is something best left to you and your cult. For example, Nap argues against your position and you consider him another crackpot on Fox...Nap argues for your position and suddenly you consider him a knowledgeable legal expert....all the while you remain blissfully unaware of actual facts....you live in the mania of opinion and emotion seasoned with snark and overproduced news theater. good luck!

You see, what we have here is just a classic "he said vs everyone else involved said" scenario. How could one reasonably draw a conclusion from that?

how about them soybeans? and wasn't there a NYT "bombshell" about Trump easily getting convicted for tax fraud over an inheritance?
I will gut-laugh when the Democrats start chanting "Lock Him Up!"

You going to admit President Trump committed a crime now?

subgenius wrote:The Edwards example was provided to illustrate how problematic it is to prove "intent" with regard to campaign finance crime. .
No, it isn't problematic at all. Especially with the Trump example. Both AMI and Cohen already testified that this was done to help the campaign, and for Trump to suddenly say it was to conceal this from his wife is absurd because she already knew about the alleged affairs. This wasn't news to her, she just called the women liars and so what difference would it make if they published their stories? Especially when they had threatened to do this for years but Trump never decided to pay them until right before the election.
The conclusion of the article is that it probably isn't enough to impeach on its own, quoting a high ranking democrat. Republican senators quoted also weren't that upset over it implying that the senate wouldn't convict over this.

Certainly. Even if as choir of indignant angels hovered over the White House chanting 'Lock him up!', the Republican senate will leave Trump alone.
But, as the article you wrote said at its conclusion:
... prosecutors could also wait and charge Mr. Trump with conspiracy after he leaves the presidency. If he were to lose re-election in 2020, the statute of limitations will not have expired by January 2021 when he would leave office.
And as we have discussed on this board, even the statute of limitations may not be sufficient to save an ex-President Trump when the time comes.

I love the fact that President Stable Genius is on Twitter right now openly confessing to crimes and people like subgenius put on their hardhat and are off to carry some more water for him while he blows up the bad faith defenses they were just offering.
It's legal if you tell a lawyer to do it for you. Uh huh. Keep talking.
