The claim is that Smith had sex with a 14 year old. There's only one known sealing I'm aware of that would be 14 at the time of the sealing, and that's Kimball. And the evidence for their having consummated the sealing at the time is lacking.

That's not the same as claiming Smith had sex with people other than Emma.

So, again, I think if someone were inclined to graffiti up a wall with the intent of both shocking AND causing a bit of cog-dis, a tag that played off of Smith fooling around behind Emma's back would probably be more successful. No matter where they end up, the evidence for this isn't denied by FAIR or in the Church essay. Instead, they try to excuse it. For someone with the "Praise to the Man" view of Smith, this would still come as a shock. And it's rock solid fact.

I like your comments it seems in order. I'm inclined to agree that the choice of words used in the graffiti were not very effective. I think there are a number of other choices one could use to arouse interest:

1. Joseph Smith married 14 year old girls!

2. Joseph Smith cheated on Emma!

3. Google Joseph Smith polygamy!

I think it's fair to say that Brigham Young followed the polygamous footsteps of Joseph Smith who pretty much got the whole thing started. Just look at the list and ages of the women Brigham Young took and some were babes when he was in his 40's! He was a dirty old man.

The “no proof of sex” is really the weakest argument one can come up with in defending polygamy. Those that argue that point are correct. There is no physical proof of Joe’s dick inserting into any teenager vagina. However, let’s look at the actual facts.

Polygamy was to be a restoration of all things and to raise up righteous seed. Joe covenanted with the lord to live the law of polygamy which at a minimum meant Joe attempted to put his dick in as many vaginas as he could. Whether or not Hellen Mar Kimball spread her legs means nothing. We arrest men all day long for making all sorts of attempts to have sex with minors even though no sex happened.

Think of it this way, Joe would have been pedophile number 1 on “to catch a predator”. He would have solicited an undercover cop who he thought was 14. He would have walked into a house with a brown bag full of booze ready to attempt to “marry” that minor. And the minute he did, Chris Hansen would have walked in showing the hidden cameras as Joe is handcuffed and arrested and placed on the sex offender registry for the rest of his life.

And what would Joe’s defense have been? “I didn’t have sex with her.”

No sh-t! We caught you before you could try. You’re still a sex offender. Here’s your jail time.

I can assure you that Brigham Young stuck his fat Johnson into young virgin holes.

The shame and embarrassment upon the church due to polygamy cannot be measured. The church today doesn't like to talk about it. It's hardly documented or discussed in official Mormon circles. Swept under the rug.

Google God will remind the world that Mormons were into polygamy and contrary to Gordon Liar Hinckley it was doctrinal. Mormons are liars. Mormonism is a disease. It needs to be eradicated from the face of the earth.
