Perhaps I’m just cynical, but I don’t see the Entire Right Wing Propaganda Complex having a conniption fit over any new revelations; rather they’re just putting a little theatre out there to try to look reasonable to the least rightward leaning part of the Base. Give them 5 minutes and they’ll be right back to rationalizing Trump’s behavior and berating Democratic inquiries as soon as they ferret out which excuses work best on their audience.

Nope. You’re just watching that uncomfortable few moments of cognitive dissonance before their mind and pride manage to tamp back down any deviation from complete and sycophantic devotion to The Donald.
Again, give them 5 minutes. They’ll be right back to slapping their MAGA hats back on their heads and repeating Fox and Friends talking points.

Questions from the hearing won’t be asked in any kind of order conducive to constructing a narrative. Mueller’s press conference was effective, in part, because it was relatively brief. Given the attention span of the average American, I just don’t see people sitting through hours of reading from the report.
Millions of Americans sit through faux news shows like FOX for hours every day and if Mueller is reading from the report in congressional hearings then that's what they're going to be talking about. Let Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ask him questions as she's clearly the most effective at it.
Agreed about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She does her homework and has a talent for questioning witnesses.

I think it's more that there are a few personalities on Fox with enough editorial leeway and personal integrity not to be straight-up hardcore propagandists. They were hired because they fit in with overall ideological goals, but there are bridges that are too far for them. They're still effectively drown out by all the other voices.
