Just for the record (like it matters) I wasn't fully impressed with that two part podcast. That's an understatement.

Edited to reflect correction.

With Norton, it's always that any issue he's involved in has to at least be in part about himself.

I don't have a problem with him expressing his anger directly to Denson. I don't have a problem with his language, and I don't have a problem with or at least understand the "punch in the nose" and other threat. The conversation is an understandable given the history between the two. But for Norton, that doesn't appear to be the entire point. He also had to record the conversation and post it for all to see. Had he not done and rather only released the video explaining why she can't be trusted, there wouldn't be much for people to gripe about. TO the extent he's being criticized, it's almost entirely because he invited it.

Another example is the video he did of Denson's confrontation of Bishop during some testimony meeting. (I understand he's now pulled the video.) The only relevant point was the confrontation itself, over the pulpit. But he had do also do a "behind the scenes" of the two drinking Fireball and then skipping down the sidewalk outside the building. In other words, he had to make it about him. Pretty much par for the course in everything that he does.

No matter how well his intentions may be, everything for him is also personal, and with anything he gets involved in, it appears he also has to make himself part of the story. There wouldn't nearly be so much drama if he wouldn't do that, but I also think he thrives on the drama.

We watched as many fell all over themselves to get some minutes with her (an exclusive), but now it turns out she's potentially a 'fraud' and now the community is still taking advantage of Denson but this time they're throwing her to the wolves. It's really kind of disgusting. The same characters continue to show up at rallies, excommunications, etc. They post a selfie with the latest personality and talk about how incredibly brave the personality is and manage to insert themselves into the story.

The exmo community is basically as lame as the TBM community we all whined about...

This, at least to a degree.

I just read your post above this post and I was about to reply with a sustaining vote.

It's gotten pretty bad. The personalities involved are really self-serving. It's gotten really old to watch Dehlin, NNN, and others hit exmo reddit, social media, etc. and post on the ground selfie pics and vids, they also talk about breaking the story, looking for the exclusive, and then sprinkling in a bunch of self-promotion.

They survive here because our Mormon culture accepts and encourages this behavior.

Likewise. The guy calls out Mike for supposedly being verbally abusive toward Ms. Denson, but is verbally abusive to Mike while he does it.

The attorneys left the zoo because there is no proof that Joseph Bishop raped McKenna Denson.

She falsely accused many men of rape. Think about that.
