And are we currently experiencing difficulties navigating the shipping lanes around Greenland?

Well, yasee, if Greenmark was to turn Muslamic, that would be a whole new ball game ...

Trump is just thinking ahead to the time when he has insulted and alienated so many countries that the US has no friends left to speak of, and can only rely on bits of the world it actually owns outright. Makes sense, no?

A Trump aid should tell Donald that the population of Greenland is almost 90% Inuit (Eskimo). They seem a bit too ethnic for Trump. I'm guessing he'll lose interest.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

I think you have overlooked the naming rights. Think Trumpland!

Why should a barren desolate and HUGE piece of land be named Greenland? No one would want to build a luxury hotel and casino on Greenland, but they would on TRUMPLAND.

When it was named Trumpland, no one would dare call it a "sh*thole" country. No one.

But you climate guys should recognize that Greenland ain't about mineral resources, but something waaaay waaaaay waaaaaaaaay more valuable....
shipping lanes.

But this all does relate to the new trade war with China, or a.k.a. the coming new and improved cold war (see also China's new spice road through Italy via bad economics of Italy, etc.)

In the OP, I recognized that the U.S. expressed interest in buying Greenland before. We could discuss shipping lanes and mineral rights, but the bottom line is that Trump has damaged the relationship with a valuable American ally because of his snowflake sensitivity to criticism.

You don't cancel a meeting with an ally because they won't sell you part of their country. Trump is the ultimate Drama Queen.

SPOILER ALERT: notice where I wrote Climate Change. Then note where, geographically, deepest water and shortest routes for ships may exist...see also big glaring hints in previous post.

I was responding to the poster who apparently had no time to read your post.
And to be fair, Trump clearly stated that his trip was cancelled because the manner by which the PM responded to his offer. For you to criticize Trump for the behavior first exhibited by the PM of Denmark seems to diminish the credibility of your opinion on this matter.
But I get it, mean guy tweeting so we are all gonna die (again, once again).

CFR. PM did not cancel the meeting. Trump, in his immature fit, did.
