Lemmie,
I don't think that constitutes moving any goal posts. Warning the moderator about comments needing to be moderated, that's a reminder of his need to show good faith moderation. Before yesterday, were there other un-moderated negative comments about this board? Cheers-

And did he show good faith moderation? Or are the two comments still up, with no moderation in the form of editing or warning?
Re: moving the goalposts, it’s your agreement, you get to decide, obviously. But yes, given the written agreement, your addition of warnings that are simply free passes is moving the goalposts.

I believe a warning was issued on SeN last night.

Interesting. Would you be so kind as to post it here?

Doctor Scratch mentioned seeing a warning to Kiwi57 on SeN to tone it down.
Additionally, I have been in email correspondence with Dr. Peterson, indicating that offline requests for civility have been re-extended.
We shall see!
Cheers,

Yes, Doctor Scratch interpreted DP’s comment to Dr Shades as a warning to kiwi to tone it down. Personally, I didn’t see it that way.
The fact that you have email correspondence indicating “offline requests for civility have been RE-extended” is interesting. [bolding added] Well, the intent is the primary issue, so it’s a good thing you were able to re-negotiate and offer those additional chances not originally in the agreement!

The answer is that I have exactly no interest in Bigfoot. I am not asking gemli to read every book on any topic.Just some books in an effort to know something about which he opines day and night. In doing this have I committed some terrible academic sin? If you do not have a ready answer, then try talking in over with the inmates of your own board and see if they can come up with a reational reply.

Not on a certain rubbish board run by a fake.

Dr. Moore,
I applaud your effort to bring some civility to Dr. P. and his cohorts, LM and Kiwi.
Having seen arrogant, contemptuous and mean-spirited behaviour on their part for almost 20 years now (as one of those lurkers who reads and rarely posts), I'm cynically interested in the outcome here.
And I find it interesting that Dr. P. is apparently making an effort to exercise restraint for monetary reasons when other possible motives such as - just plain decorum and decency, - or (to raise sights higher) Christian graciousness and Christlikeness - (didn't Jesus say something in the Sermon on the Mount about how to treat people??) - hold no sway with him.
While reading some of the comments on SetN, I was struck by the thought that DP and LM seem to have some glimmer of hope that there may still be some chance of evangelizing gemli if only he would acquaint himself with Mormon beliefs. As if the words and tone of the "ambassadors" of the faith on that blog could be anything but the biggest turnoff imaginable.
Others have commented on how apparently blind to their own behaviour (and to how they appear to anyone not enmeshed in their cloistered group) they are.
And it truly is a spectacle to see LM's rudeness, callousness, misogyny and pernicious "real life" wisecracks. He strikes me as someone who would just love to get his opponent in his net and watch him squirm. Happily, he's outmanoeuvered and definitely outclassed by those he targets.
But back to your wager with D. P.
My cynicism aside, I'm thinking that if faith means anything, it's that there is always hope. Today is always the beginning of a new day.

So you will continue to stink up Dan's blog until he gives you the boot? I am confident that faithful Latter-day Saints who visit and/or post on Dan's blog would be delighted if they never saw your handle again. Now there are a few--Fred Kratz or Noel H., for instance, who might love to see you constantly posting up a storm on Dan's blog. The reason is that they also take advantage of the fact that Latter-day Saint are almost always nice people who will tolerate a great deal of flatus. Dan and I have been trying to talk a nice reasonable Latter-day Saint woman into not leaving his blog because of you and people like Fred Kratz. She asked Kratz if his mother failed to teach him any manners.
I strongly urge you to shift to a certain disgusting board where anything goes, and the worst the better. Or better still, find an atheist board or blog that would celebrate your rubbish.
