During DrC's recent sabbatical, there was some concern for his welfare voiced amongst posters. One poster told us that he was 'de-toxing'.

His media empire has secured the win of every Australian prime minister and federal election in Australia's modern history. Doubly unsurprising then, Australia's conservative parties and the American GOP are now the only major political parties in the world to not believe in climate change science. As such, the small population of Australia in its short history has polluted almost as much to global CO2 emissions as India, and the Great Barrier Reef authority has given the green light to dump dredging sludge near it:

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority has approved the dumping of more than 1m tonnes of dredge spoil near the reef, using a loophole in federal laws that were supposed to protect the marine park.
