Kobe Bryant Basketball Legend Dead

He died in a helicopter crash with his 13 year old daughter. They were going to a basketball function of some kind. I saw it on the news during the Pro Bowl.

When Kobe was just out of high school, Jerry West of the Lakers arranged for him to do a private workout at Inglewood High School. Kobe was guarded by Michael Cooper, who had just retired. (Larry Bird said Michael Cooper was the best defensive player he ever played against.)

Cooper, an all-star defender, basically couldn't stop Kobe, who never played a game in college. They knew they had something special.

It's weird Ajax suddenly finds his moral compass when it comes to Kobe, who, for the record, I believed engaged in some form of sexual assault as outlined in this Wiki article:

When asked about bruises on the accuser's neck, Bryant admitted to "strangling" her during the encounter, stating that he held her "from the back" "around her neck", that strangling during sex was his "thing" and that he had a pattern of strangling a different sex partner (not his wife) during their recurring sexual encounters. But the fact that Ajax is so quick to believe Kobe is a rapist and somehow finds a very large compartment for his skepticism regarding Trump is, well, there you go. So. You know. Sure, Kobe assaulted that girl (in my opinion, #justbelieveher), but I find it head scratchingly weird Ajax cared enough to make a comment about this while waving away the various and sundry moral failings of his political party leaders.

At least subgenius doesn't pretend to care about something like morality!
