Joe Biden accused of sexual assault

The democrats would be wise to draft someone a little younger like Cuomo at the convention. Biden doesn't look up to the task and won't fare well in the debates. He was on Morning Joe the other day, with his wife, and she did a lot of the talking. Does he need her to steady the ship and keep him focused? Cuomo, on the other hand, would be a formidable opponent.

The problem that arises with faked hate crimes or sexual assaults is that they still achieve their aims of pushing organizations into the hard Left arena. After one particularly ridiculous fake hate crime was perpetrated by an activist her university has:

”implemented mandatory diversity training for all faculty and staff; required training addressing unconscious biases and equitable practices for all persons serving on search committees; offered workshops for faculty on how to create inclusive environments and implement diversity and inclusivity framework within curriculum; strengthened the office of Diversity and Inclusion through the hire of a new assistant director; and opened the Ludwick Center for Spirituality, Cultural Understanding, and Community Engagement.”

I mean, mutual respect is good. What THAT is I don’t believe even the USSR could’ve created. That’s amazing. The little huckster pulled off a major win, but it’s only going to ironically cause further divisions within our country where middle ground is ceded to partisans. It’s no surprise to me then, that a Democrat isn’t Democrat-enough, and was the target of a sexual assault allegation. That crap works. The only reason why I think Biden isn’t getting Kavanaughed right now is because the mainstream media simply isn’t going to torch the DNC’s presumptive nominee right before the general election.

Cuomo suuuuuucks, and it's a shame that he's gotten a boost in popularity because of a rally around the flag effect due to him coming across as a competent authority figure during a crisis that was exacerbated by his own failures as an executive. Shades of Giuliani there, if Giuliani also was partially responsible for the 9/11 attacks, which he wasn't. So, really, shades of George W. Bush circa early 2000's there.

Jay Inslee is the person who should be getting all of Cuomo's shine. Or, if not him, then at least figures like Gavin Newsom. We should be applauding the leaders of states that didn't stumble about causing lots of unnecessary deaths before getting to be the strong-leader type in a crisis they helped make worse.

(Cuomo also benefits from De Blasio being such a hateable figure, which is a unique dynamic.)

Hrm. Newsom seems like he would need a Trump win this cycle so he could throw in for a 2023 campaign followed by a possible term starting in 2024. But, who knows. Maybe he’s want to be a Senator after serving a couple terms as Governor. To me being a Senator would be the crap. 6 year gig, lots of power, and you’re set up to hold that crap for yeeeears if your state thinks you’re invaluable.
