Biden knew Saddam Hussein had NO plans to attack the US. Evidence is overwhelming.

Of course you don’t know. It’s obvious from how you talk about it. Now, what did he expect the result of the AUMF to be when he cast his vote?DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:36 amI don't know, but he knew that a lot of innocent people would die.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:11 amOh, neat, DT. You can cherry pick a couple of sentences from newspaper articles and an advocacy piece from an peace promoting publication and conclude that everyone who supported the war was an idiot.
Let's see how well you have informed yourself on this topic. Give us a couple of paragraphs that summarize why Biden voted for the 2002 AUMF.

There are about 600,000 (ages 20-24) more young men than young women in the US. I just want the numbers to be about the same.

You don't read them, you just believe Lemmie. Jesus Christ I quote them all the time. EAllusion sometimes disagrees and tells me that there are many ways to interpret a study, but he doesn't tell me "links often don't support" like you just did.

I can't think of a good reason.
1. The US knew Saddam was not planning to attack the US.
2. The US knew Saddam was not planning to give weapons to terrorists.

I don't know, but it was popular politics at the time according to the polls.

Bush wasn't convinced of this lie... It's simply that when enough information came out that it was a lie, the lie was already so big that he and his Admin chose not to promote the information.
No, this is not my "opinion", it's information relayed by others who were interacting with and talking with Bush on the subject.
They've stated this...
Again, the New York Times finally did an Article admitting the fact. They are NOT Right-Wing FYI.

The aliens would know that our solar system has intelligent life, so the aliens would simply travel to another star system that doesn't have any intelligent life. Planet Earth is not be hospitable for alien life, molecular oxygen would be toxic for them.honorentheos wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:54 amThis isn't a race looking at humans as insignificant because we are working on interplanetary travel today.
The aliens would probably be millions of years more advance than us. They would be observing us and would figure out we are no match for them.honorentheos wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:54 amThey just travelled centuries or even a millennium to get here because of that whole lack of faster than light travel. You really shouldn't believe anything from factcheck.org, it's near 100% biased, thus entirely untrustworthy.2. The US knew Saddam was not planning to give weapons to terrorists.

Just because an organization "says" they are "fact-checking" doesn't mean they are telling the full and actual facts, thus being truthful.
I've actually listened to interviews with a couple of generals, and a couple of mid-level military leaders who were on the ground there listening to talk radio years back, as well as read various military reports on this, when I deep dived on this subject to see if WMD's were found or not, if Sadaam was supporting terrorists etc., which absolutely verify that Sadaam allowed and supported multiple terrorist training camps in his country, and was looking entirely to support their agenda, even with WMD's.
So, me personally, I trust the Generals and military documents, not anyone else, especially factcheck.org.

Again, the point was if they show up in our solar system we are toast. They will eliminate us because conditions demand it. Aliens who would avoid exterminating inferior intelligent life will avoid systems that contain it because of the reasons you've been given.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:18 pmThe aliens would know that our solar system has intelligent life, so the aliens would simply travel to another star system that doesn't have any intelligent life. And even if we could prop a wormhole tunnel open with the gravity repelling abilities of exotic matter, other theorists, like Stephen Hawking, have suggested that once anything, even a single particle, enters a wormhole, the mathematics require that the wormhole collapses. That does not bode well at all for intergalactic space and time travel.

You do know it's now PROVEN that UFO's (thus some type of "alien") is real...?
The government finally officially released a couple of videos of UFO's that the military has encountered, and this stuff has been going on for years, though not officially released. So really, nobody should be questioning whether there are "aliens" or not.
