Ha, that was good. My wife once said to me that the reason why babies cry so much over little things is because that particular thing was literally the worst thing to ever happen to them, thus they have no context for what is and what isn’t possible to endure. And unless they’re given the opportunity to temper their metal, so to speak, they’ll never really understand resiliency and how to better themselves.
When kids these days (Jesus, I just said that), flip out over their perceived lack of opportunity, or wealth inequity, or what have you, I’m fairly certain it’s because they don’t know true poverty, historical suffering, or many of the challenges older generations had to endure. They lack perspective, and there’s been a tremendous amount of coddling happening, so they act out rather than adapt to changing circumstances.
Anyway. Old Testament. Yeah. It kills. On the flip side, Progressives may have gotten us a 40-hour work week (that’s up for debate). So perhaps whining gets results.

Mandatory Old Testament kills people. Is Biden going to end it?

Well, there is inborn temperament going on there to consider (nature) but as I studied child development, I realized that I was what was called a resilient children. So if I go with nurture, yeah, what your wife said fits with my childhood experiences. One of the leading benefits of learning child development is gaining self insight. ;-)My wife once said to me that the reason why babies cry so much over little things is because that particular thing was literally the worst thing to ever happen to them, thus they have no context for what is and what isn’t possible to endure. That is likely the case. I know that when I was coming up, I knew kids that whose families were very well off, lived in nice homes, and understood that they were college bound. None of those kids was me. Not back then. Not even close. Yet, looking back (recall the self insight piece) I think there's a lot to be said for knowing and facing adversity. Sink or swim and all that. Like I stated previously, I believe you have to reach for what you want.flip out over their perceived lack of opportunity, or wealth inequity, or what have you, I’m fairly certain it’s because they don’t know true poverty, historical suffering, or many of the challenges older generations had to endure. In terms of work hours that kill. Nothing was worse, in my experience, than salary.Anyway. Old Testament. Yeah. It kills. On the flip side, Progressives may have gotten us a 40-hour work week (that’s up for debate). So perhaps whining gets results.

Thank you, DT. I did a fair amount of swearing in my posts yesterday and I didn't want to lay that on you. A Happy 4th to you as well!

Hard work can kill you. But for me being pissed off because I don't get to keep most of the money hurts far worse. Thankfully I haven't felt that for 4 years. I'm afraid that's about to change. Biden has vowed to raise taxes. I don't see how that can be avoided now that Covidiocy has destroyed the economy. But I guess that's fine for those who are retired and hard work is a thing of the past as long as that social security check keeps rolling in.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

You always think everyone has it better than you do. That's a losing perspective if I ever saw one.

He's a whiny little bit-ch. It cracks me up that pissy little babies like him think they have the stuff for a civil war. The guy's butt hurt over his tax rate; as if he'd sacrifice his own safety.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 2:08 amYou always think everyone has it better than you do. That's a losing perspective if I ever saw one.
It is to laugh.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
