Re: Biden vs. Trump
Prior Presidents not commenting much on current administrations is a very recent phenomenon.
There's also examples of prior Presidents turning on their party. Teddy Roosevelt seems like an obvious example. All the ones I can think of involved Presidents who initially got the office on a fluke. I'm struggling to think of an example where this isn't the case, but I didn't think about it that hard or look anything up.
This involves former members of a Presidential administration turning on their party's candidate. That seems historically routine.

I think you are misreading my words, I am not asking for free stuff and I don't expect UBI to solve all my problems.honorentheos wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 7:55 pmBut whatever it is, DT is politically naïve while latching onto a few ideas like UBI because it sounds better than what he's got currently going on.

Veteran's group calling Trump "Benedict Donald" in a blistering ad.....

I would love for this new name to catch on like the "lock her up" chants.

I'd prefer Trump to replace Benedict Arnold as the symbolic name of a traitor much in the way that Hitler replaced "Pharoh" as a cultural reference to an evil tyrant. That's a fate he deserves.

Nevertheless, for a poster who seems to fall in line with the whole "how a president traditionally behaves" it seems absurd that you would expose your inadequate position in this manner.
Nevertheless, how about a some solid references that establish a foundatuon for your broad stroke here? Something to help convince me that over the course of 45 President we have a "pattern" or tradition in this context.
I can be patient, but the information should be readily available since you made such a claim that is out of your apparent wheelhouse.
