I think the anti-maskers are seeking psychological control over that which they have no real control over...the pandemic, losing their work, their routines, etc. Of course they are slap out of their minds, but they are grasping at the only control straws they have left.

They're so deluded that they don't realize that complying with mask wearing is one of the very measures they DO have to control the virus and re-establish a sense of normalcy. We're biding our time until a viable vaccine is ready. God forbid they work cooperatively towards that effort for the good of themselves and the good of the whole.

Practically no one is wearing a mask in Florida. No social distancing, no nothing. From my observations, it is life as usual. Social nearness seems to be the norm. One news article says one death every 8 minutes in the state of Florida from COVID-19.

Why on earth are you still disputing this? The nations that followed these guidelines, like social distancing, temporary lock downs and mask usage, are now well on the way to recovery and near normalcy, and are doing spectacularly well compared to the USA. Perhaps the most spectacular example of this is the already discussed Vietnam (viewtopic.php?p=1231633#p1231633), a country of nearly 97 million people, that shares an 800 mile plus border with China, the apparently original source of the virus, and whose current numbers are a total of 431 confirmed covid-29 cases, 365 recovered cases, and zero dead (so far) from the virus.

When contrasted with the USA with a population of only 3.4 times that of Vietnam, with 4,290,259 confirmed cases (nearly 10,000 times Vietnam's total) and 148,203 deaths vs. Vietnam's zero deaths, it is unequivocally true that Trump and his administration have failed spectacularly compared to the rest of the world, let alone Vietnam. With just over 4.5% of the world's population, 26% of the confirmed cases, and nearly 23% of the deaths, there is simply no honest nor reasonable way to escape or spin our way out of the conclusion that no government on earth has failed more spectacularly to address the pandemic emergency than the Trump administration.

Even for that reason alone (and it is far from the only reason) it would be literally insane to reelect Trump for a second term! It is both incredible and heartbreaking that as much as a third of the American electorate currently actually seems to be that insane!

I don't walk outside without my SF 49ers mask looped around my wrist. I don't put it on outside unless I'm walking past a store front or some other place I might encounter another human. I have it just going for walks on the off chance I impulsively decide to enter some place of business. I will not enter any building except my home without wearing a mask.

The assholes who won't wear masks whining about freedom are the same assholes making everyone else wear them longer. They're the same ones whining about the economy while doing everything they can to re-tard the economy's recovery.

Stupid. Assholes.
