I officially pulled my ass out of and away from the Republican party.
Who did you vote for in last five or six presidential elections?

It looks like that Trump is going to be the first Republican that I am not going to vote for President. I am voting Biden/Harris this Presidential election. A lot of Republicans have come out in support of Biden.

Why? I've been a registered Democrat, a registered Republican, and have now withdrawn from the Republican party and gone Unaffiliated because that reflects my true status. I've voted across party lines all my life. Unaffiliated status is congruent with who I am.

I hear you, Bracki. So many people I know feel the same way. I'm concerned with the comments regarding military. So far as I am concerned, Trump just called my husband a sucker and a loser, that no American wants to see in parade. Granted that he wasn't wounded in action, but he does have service related disabilities so I hear those comments as applying to him and not exclusively combat veterans.

That's not what made me change my voter registration to Unaffiliated though. I've never voted strict party lines. I'll never vote strict party lines so why affiliate myself with one party? That and the fact like I stated previously, if I happen to get wiped out by Covid, changing my status is my best shot at making a statement if I am unable to actually vote. It really matters to me.

I couldn't leave my name on the voting rolls that way. I figure if I happen to come down with Covid and it dicks me away, then that'll have to suffice as my 2020 vote.
I hear ya. I generally think of myself as an independent, but I agree with both right and left ideals, depending on the issue.

Trump and his ilk aren't even in that conversation. They are on another planet, pretending that destroying the country is the way to save it. They've sold their souls to the devil. You can't reason with unreasonable people, so I don't try. I just point my finger and say, you guys suck. Lying isn't the same as arguing, but it's all they've got.

Did Romney or McCain win more independents than Trump? Why did Trump win when these two Republican candidates were thoroughly beaten?

Really? I'd be very interested to hear what politically conservative ideal you agree with? I'd be even more interested in knowing what you've ever done to promote or even advocate for this ideal

How has that been working out for you?
