Caught most of it.

Church attendance is down. But, BUT, leaders are concerned it is down elsewhere too.

A reminder to active members that those who stop attending do so for bad reasons. In case folks had begun to listen and sympathize.

Acquisition of wealth is a sin. But evidently not if Jesus does it through the church.

Labels are divisive. Except for the binary heteronormative labels assigned by the proclamation.
I love the fact that I watched none of it. Thanks for letting me know that I missed nothing worthwhile. GC sucks.

Did they really teach acquisition of wealth is a sin?!? Seriously??? OMFG. Maximum hypocrisy if they did, and right out their asses.

Right? I had an absolutely magnificently spirit/intellectually stimulating filled day - 10 hrs, so I am being quite literal... studying ancient Egyptian spirituality. I mean, what a gloriously just satisfying, beautiful day... I am soooooo blessed. Jeremy Naydler's Shamanic Wisdom in the Pyramid Texts: The Mystical Tradition of Ancient Egypt, based on his Ph.d work, Inner Traditions, 2005. Read it entirely today. The only defect with the book (not actually huge, but very annoying) is pp. 179-227 are missing and instead pp. 131-178 were spliced in where the real pages should have been, so I don't have the entire book in context, but there is enough here to overwhelmingly enthrall me outta my gourd. Just a truly satisfying, magnificent book! Not sure how I can get a "corrected" book what has been edited and printed correctly. I gotta do that down the road eventually, since it misses part elucidation of the Pyramid of Unas texts which I really want to read his commentary on. The majority of the texts though I have in this defective copy, which is really fabulous.

DCP says he's bemused that we embittered apostates would watch general conference just to look for things to ridicule and complain about.

I'm just looking for something, anything novel to come out of these men. Just one prophesy from a prophet. One revelation from a revelator. All we get is a 16 hour long Mormon infomercial of recycled Correlation Committee Curriculum.

Excellent point, there is more to our existence than building the Spaceship Nauvoo.

Who could keep a straight enough face to say that?!!!!
I didn't watch/listen. They actually had the gall to say that?

The first part, yes. The second part is the obvious hypocrisy to those paying attention.
