Growing up in the church we always see the church as a religion because it is obviously. But what is Mormonism? I say it’s a life road map that’s clearly marked out and tells you exactly what direction to go, where to make pit stops, and puts up warnings signs if there’s going to be complications on the journey. Some people need “maps” to get through life calmly and effortlessly. Some people don’t . Some people enjoy filling the tank up with gas and just driving to see what’s out there in the world. Is one way better than the other?

If you believe in Christ your relationship is with him, not a bishop, stake president or prophet. You control your thoughts, not them! You control every action in your life, not them! I’m not following them. I don’t follow men. God supplied me with everything I need to live here on earth, it’s already inside me and it’s inside you, you just need to learn how to access it. That’s what the prophets are for, guidance. There are people living today that need all the guidance they can get from the prophets or anywhere they can find it. But there’s also people who don’t need as much guidance, people who are in tune with what God wants them to do and trust the spirit. Why does it scare you that not all Mormons think and act the same? Does it upset the false narrative you’ve grown comfortable believing? Does it not gel with what you’re learning from watching RFM and the Professor?

Why does it bother you that some folks mostly or already detached from Mormon routine and beliefs like to listen to either of those two?
