do I understand the definition of a man?

Post by Binger »

I think this question deserves a fresh start here in Paradise?

Are the current definitions too toxic, or not toxic enough?

My concern is that definitions that only apply to chromosomes may exclude some important aspects of what the word "man" could mean or what it actually means. What is particularly interesting is how the definition has changed. What key words are omitted or added to the definition from each of the last 5 centuries, each of the last, 5 decades, each of the last 5 years, each of the last 5 months, and each of the last 5 weeks?

My mistake. I thought you were after a serious discussion.

Binger, I'm taking you at your word that you want a serious discussion.

Personally, I'm not sure the definition of the word "man" has changed that much in the past 5, 50, or 500 years. Please make your case that it has.

Binger, I'm still interested in your perception of how the definition of the word "man" has changed in the last 500, 50, or 5 years.

Binger.

From your silence, I'm going to conclude that you've reconsidered your stance on this subject.

All is well.
