Secure the Schools
Secure the Schools
Who here is for securing the schools as federal buildings are secured, and as Biden, Pelosi and Shumer are secured, regardless of how many guns exist out there?
[ ] Yes, secure the schools regardless of how many guns are out there
[ ] No, don't secure the schools regardless of how many guns are out there
This thread is not about gun control or gun rights or any sidebar subject. This thread is about a very specific question. Please don't attempt to highjack the thread. If you want to discuss gun rights or gun control, create a new thread.

Re: Secure the Schools
I'm for reasserting responsibility into firearm ownership.
Happy to continue the discussion in the appropriate forum, too.

Re: Secure the Schools
A thread about armed security in schools isn't about firearms even though you said this in the OP:bill4long wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 4:29 amThis thread is not about gun control or gun rights. It's about guns. And when it's moved to the correct forum I'm happy to engage on the topic.
You want to talk about firearms, tell me what you think those in favor of ownership could support in reaffirming responsibility in the discussion and not just proliferation.
Re: Secure the Schools
No, it's about what I said it's about: securing schools regardless of how many guns are out there. I could not have been more clear. We could add knives and machetes to the question if it helps to clarify my intent.
If you want a broader discussion about guns, create a new thread.

Re: Secure the Schools
So it's about whether or not to put more guns in schools.
How does that encourage responsible ownership?
Re: Secure the Schools
You absolutely can and should be more clear.
Please explain what ‘securing the schools’ means to you. What does that require or entail?
Posed as you have here, your opening question really cannot be answered.

Re: Secure the Schools
As worded, this is unanswerable, as it represents a false dichotomy.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.
The god idea is popular with desperate people.
