What did you mean when you said, "...And yes he would more than likely cut taxes" if you don't see a DeSantis administration backing increased tax cuts? What mechanism do you imagine exists that accomplishes what you are asking for then?Hawkeye wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 8:51 pmI'd also expect border enforcement and hence a reduction in medicaid and child welfare spending.honorentheos wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 6:26 pmTo summarize, you expect:
- Protectionist tariffs on imports
- Increased military spending
- Protectionist trade negotiations
- Increased tax cuts
- Reduced spending on environmental regulation and programs
Is that accurate?
There's no increase to the tax cuts. I'm just asking to allow working people to keep a larger percentage of what they earn. I'm also asking that welfare benefits not be competitive with wages to the point where we are seeing labor shortages that we have seen since the Democrats basically used COVID to seize power in 2020.

Seems likely Republicans will turn to Marjorie Taylor Greene, being that she is totally untruthful and dishonest.
Campaign Slogan - Greene and Gaetz, as Republican as it gets.

Yes. It is becoming ever more obvious that pathological dishonesty and contempt for democracy and the ideal of government of, by and for the people, as so eloquently expressed, by Honest Abe Lincoln, the greatest Republican in American history, have become primary prerequisites for admission to today's Republican party -- thanks largely to Trump!
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

It also helps any Republican to get elected if they come off as completely braindead. You can't forget stupidity as a prerequisite for GOP leadership. Being smart/reasonable/informed/educated/swayed by facts is elitist, don'cha know.Gunnar wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 4:55 pmYes. Yes! A truly astounding example of that is Herschel Walker, running for U.S. Senator in Georgia. His stupidity and ignorance makes even Marjorie Taylor Green look smart by comparison. Every time he opens his mouth he proves that in spades, yet his poll numbers remain high among Republicans. What a travesty if he actually wins the election! Some Schmo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 4:25 amIt also helps any Republican to get elected if they come off as completely braindead.
