You're low on vitamin D and you need to buy toilet paper.
How’d you know?
Darn toilet paper was $31.17. I like quality paper products.

I am still here. In fact I am always here. I read every word of every post; I read the first version you post before you edit.

My keystroke logging virus reads every character as you type it, before you even make that first post. My camera virus tracks your eyes and recognises what you were going to type before you changed your mind. My server farm full of AIs correlates all that with the browser history of everyone in your contact list. You're low on vitamin D and you need to buy toilet paper.

In short, the attention I devote to these boards is like unto the Eye of Sauron when Sauron is squinting hard to see the online dictionary from afar so he can cheat at Wordle. That static you sometimes hear is the Eye's roaring sound when I forget to hit Mute.

But maybe I'll take a break, too.
I've decided to take a break from not commenting on a post when I think it is funny. Funny post P.G.!

😵💫 missed you while you slept. Who needs sleep?
Well, actually, I do. (And that doesn’t even look like the emoticon I posted).
Now that's commitment! I had to take break from the board just to think about how awesome your level of commitment to the board is.

Wow! This is bordering on theological!

I think PG is too smart and tough to be scared off by the likes of me, but I like the fact that you are concerned about him staying around.

To me people here seem remarkably civilised for the internet, able to disagree without being judgemental. There are a lot of people here, though, who have enough obvious expertise on subjects I do not know that even their gentle correction of my errors might well make me lie low for a while to try to live down a stupid post.

"I asked once on a message board about what our actual sources for ancient history were, and this guy on the internet told me about the Res Gestae Divi Augusti that is literally carved into stone in Ankara. You should google it."

This is one of my anecdotes. Not an example that made me lie low, since it was just an awesome Boom! answer to a question, but an example of how much a lot of people here know, that not everyone knows. I have it on tap in case any of my scientist colleagues says anything disparaging about the humanities. That's actually very rare, though. Scientists mostly aren't stupid.
I was a teenager before it was cool.
