In The Age Of YouTube, Are Temples Even Necessary?

We had an informal Ward Temple Night yesterday. I was speaking to a member of our Ward, and he told me that during COVID when the temples were closed, he and his wife would "attend" sessions in their home by watching the endowment film on YouTube.

They even self-submitted names of ancestors. I guess it would be fairly easy to assign new names now that the temple database is online: http://www.fullerconsideration.com/TempleNameOracle/

Anyways, how weird. Maybe the Church can save billions by just having members do their own in-home sessions by watching YouTube.
