Well, I’m at my first large venue event since before the Pandemic. It’s a live performance of one my favorite podcasts. So I’m sitting in the balcony of the Neptune Theater in the U District after dinner at one of my favorite Indian Restaurants.

It’s still the new normal. I’m masked and dinner was on the outdoor patio. Still, life is good and still COVID free. Soon, I’ll hear the familiar drawl saying “Welcome, family,” and be treated to a spooky tale.

It was lots of fun. A full house packed with rabid fans. Geekapalooza!!

Lots of music and a creepy story about Delia, Indiana and the Man from the Railroad. And Cecil Baldwin in a very un-Nightvale role. If they come to your neck of the woods down the line, I highly recommend it.

The podcast creates a mythology out of folk tales and legends from Appalachia. I think you'd enjoy it.

The Gray Rooms is a a horror podcast that I enjoy. Each episode features a story submitted by a writer. The catch is that the protagonist must die at the end of the story.

Has your friend published any stories?

Yes, he has published a few. Some in Lovecraftian collections. I think one collection was entitled, Jazz Age Cthulhu. His name is Avery Cahill.
