I still go with upstate NY with 1/3 describing that area with the names of towns and 2/3rds describing someplace else. It's like Evelyn Waugh did in creating Anthony Blanche combining Brian Howard and Harold Acton at Oxford in the 1920's. I believe it was Brian Howard who when addressing someone would began with, "My Dear" where Harold Acton sat on a balcony and serenaded the boat crews with T.S Elliot's, The Waste Land. That describes Anthony Blanche at Oxford in the novel Brideshead Revisited.

And to say Bountiful can only be in these surroundings doesn't add up since it's something that evolved in Joseph Smith Jr's mind.

If you want a strip of land between two bodies of water how about Ancient Rome and Aternum as Bountiful.
