I expect the number of theaters will drop to 47 or so on Friday. There is no sign it will open in Parowan. It will be opening in Panguitch.
You were too optimistic, brother Tom. It’s down to 35 theaters:

Friday 18 $12,274 +76% -55.7% 35

Again for comparison, Witnesses was still on 78 screens on its day 18. And that again was during COVID.

This is an absolute disaster for DCP. Not since the Maxwell Institute ouster has he been this publicly rebuked.
Absolutely devastating. There is nothing the Executive Producer can do to prevent this from being an absolutely spectacular propaganda triumph for those who oppose the Interpreter Foundation and despise Brigham Young. Will we see a shakeup at the Foundation?

Perhaps the board members of the Interpreter Foundation are supportive of Peterson throwing millions of dollars down the toilet on personal vanity projects.
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Box office mojo seems to be having trouble getting accurate numbers. The last 3 days are estimates.

Many theaters have begun to cancel the late night showings of August, presumably swapping those critical evening shows for something that actually sells tickets.

All of the green seats are empty in this large Provo auditorium.

Mormon God has a strange sense of humor in the performance of his one true church’s one true film.

I’d be interested in knowing who submitted the estimates…they have submitted estimations for the last two days which each total more than the films cumulative take for the first fifteen days.

Those would be quite miraculous numbers. I’d consider getting re-baptized!

Six Days tanked faster than I had previously thought possible. It only made $610 on Sunday https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/r ... bo_tt_gr_1

It looks like Megaplex Theaters are pulling the movie on Friday, so if you haven't seen it you better hurry.

Quite grim. I, too, was astonished at those wildly inflated estimates. Wishful thinking, no doubt? In any case, the Afore’s current vacation seems propitious indeed: he’s basically on a complete Internet fast, which presumably is sparing him some of the agony of seeing this thing tank.

Meanwhile, you have to wonder if what two weeks of stagnation will do to the blog….

Dr. Peterson might return with renewed vim and vigor, along with an exciting tale of Tapirs and Quetzalcoatl.
