I think you ought to look at military spending and other socialism for corporations before you condemn the working class. Also look at history and how any whiff of union or demand for living wages by anyone in the late 19th or early 20th century was met with jail or worse for the proponents while smearing them with the communist label. Also, I'd like some sources from where you were taught that socialism always leads to communism. I don't think that's true. It's a false narrative to stop workers from demanding more from employers. It's a negotiating tactic to keep more gain for owners and management.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 28, 2025 9:12 pmDo you think the overreaction to Mamdani's election is an overreaction because he'll never get instituted into law very much of his radical "democratic socialist," agenda? Or do you think I'm going to far by calling him a communist. I was always taught that socialism by it's nature always turns into communism and in my view democratic socialism will quickly turn into communism. One reason being that once you starting issuing welfare checks, voters can never decide to stop issuing welfare checks. The best we can hope for now as lifelong taxpayers is decreasing the rate of spending increases. Actually cutting spending ending deficit spending is never on the table. Fidel Castro seemed very concerned with helping out the lower class. But did he really help them out even if he intended to do so?Dr. Exiled wrote:You know, I don't like how a lot of posters here tend to negatively pile on your posts, but, communism is so 1980's. Maybe it's coming back in a big way with this guy in N.Y. that wants to help the worker, but, it seems like it isn't.

As I have mentioned in various discussions, progressives have a disdain for America, they reject western civilization, and attribute all issues to white individuals. Consider this individual running for Mayor; he explicitly includes in his tax plan a proposal to impose taxes based on skin color, essentially targeting white individuals solely due to their race. As I have mentioned on this board for several months, progressivism aims to undermine western civilization, and to achieve this, progressives require minorities to harbor animosity towards white individuals. They are as racist as racist gets!

Military spending when it is done right, is in the best interest of every American citizen. It's the reason we even have a nation at all. If we didn't need military unity, we would be much happier as many tiny nations of people with similar culture and beliefs. If we'd been more wise in how we invested in military technology, we could have had the iron dome over America by now. How would that have changed diplomacy right now with Russia and China?I think you ought to look at military spending and other socialism for corporations before you condemn the working class.
In contrast to saying, "We'll pay for Ukraine as long as they want to fight," I'd say we should pay for Ukraine as long as the American worker believes it's in his best interest to do so. In other words, it would be decided by democracy (and only people who work and fight should be voting) not Deep State imperialism.
Maybe it wasn't communism but I'd challenge the idea that the only reason a middle class existed in the US was due to unions. Also look at history and how any whiff of union or demand for living wages by anyone in the late 19th or early 20th century was met with jail or worse for the proponents while smearing them with the communist label.
I don't know. It was back in the 80s. It was my conservative Branch president. I doubt you'd agree with him on much. Can you name me a case where true socialism has not ended in communism? I'm not sure how people choose to define socialism, communism, democratic socialism, but when a candidate basically wants to turn Whole Foods into a school lunch or prison food experience regardless of what you pay for it, that's communism as far as I'm concerned. Also, I'd like some sources from where you were taught that socialism always leads to communism.
Can you show me an example of a country where workers are paid more in command economies than free market economies? What are workers salaries in Venezuela, Cuba, the CCP, or the former USSR? For that matter, how did Obamacare benefit working people? Is their healthcare any better now? Does it cost less?I don't think that's true. It's a false narrative to stop workers from demanding more from employers. It's a negotiating tactic to keep more gain for owners and management.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I wonder why Xanax18 keeps talking to ghost-communists in this board? No one here is a communist, but there he goes again!

Sounds like Zohran is already auditioning for the top of the ticket in 2028.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 12:12 pmConsider this individual running for Mayor; he explicitly includes in his tax plan a proposal to impose taxes based on skin color, essentially targeting white individuals solely due to their race.

The current trajectory suggests that by 2028, progressives may resort to extreme measures, potentially issuing an extermination order against all white individuals in a bid to reclaim power from the Republicans.ceeboo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 10:33 pmSounds like Zohran is already auditioning for the top of the ticket in 2028.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 12:12 pmConsider this individual running for Mayor; he explicitly includes in his tax plan a proposal to impose taxes based on skin color, essentially targeting white individuals solely due to their race.

You don't know a single solitary thing about Zohran?Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 2:20 pmYou didn't tell us a single solitary thing about him or her, so no, no thoughts.
Yes. Remember, on this site the poster does the heavy lifting, not the reader. You need me to tell you?
Correct. I can't tell by the name. You don't even know what gender this person is?
By all means, please list all things that he isn't.Well, Zohran is not a professional surfer from the Netherlands, and he is not a pastry baker living off the grid in Texas.
Great! I'm sure a Democrat won the primary to become the mayor of Corpus Christi, Texas, too. I have no doubt a Democrat won the primary to become the mayor of Billings, Montana as well.He is a Democrat that just won the primary to become the Mayor of NY City - This information can be found in the title of this thread.
So, why should we care about the Democratic primary winner for the mayor of New York as opposed to any other municipality in any other state? Remember, on this board the poster does the heavy lifting, so the onus is on you to explain why.
Yes. But you still haven't explained why we should have any thoughts about this "Zohran" character as opposed to any other Democratic (or Republican, for that matter) nominee for the mayor-hood of any other municipality. You have heard of New York City, yes?
The floor is yours.

With all the Axis posters lined up against this Zohran guy, I'm guessing he led one of those Yankee battles against the Confederacy. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 6:34 amShades, sometimes you crack me up. Acting like ceeboo's going to explain anything... pretty funny, man.
