IHQ, I seriously wonder what your qualifications are to dispute the findings of an expert human geneticist as though he was a simple amateur. Then you go with the plant geneticist because he supports YOUR worldview.

MG, I think it is a good addition that you posted this material. It is obviously important to you; that can be respected. It can be respected while noting that it does not present any findings. It presents speculation as to why there are no findings. How persuasive a person finds those depends on reading the Book of Mormon. Your source does not have specialized expertise on that but can read like the rest of us here.

You believe a rock in a hat transmitted a story over the eons and you are splitting hairs with a plant geneticist over a human geneticist. A human geneticist paid by the church. If Ugo was correct it would change the landscape of human history and it hasn't.

It’s worse than that. MG 2.0 first believed that the Lamanites were the literal ancestors of the American Indians. Then he believed that the Lamanites were the principal ancestors of the American Indians. After that he believed the Lamanites were just one among the many different ancestors of the American Indians. And now he’s choosing to believe that the Lamanite DNA was bred out of existence and that the Lamanites aren’t the ancestors of the American Indians after all.

He will swallow without question anything the Church he was brought up in cares to shovel his way. Even if it is the opposite of what he swallowed yesterday.

It's intellectually dishonest, and when accompanied by the gymnast's grotesquely bad manner of insulting and demeaning every person who doesn't follow his tiny religion, the result is that we have to share a board with a very ugly and mean-spirited person who takes pride and satisfaction in trolling humans. It's shameful.

Nope, you can find all of the necessary messages from Jesus in the Bible. The fictional history of a people that now aren’t claimed to be the ancestors of anybody adds nothing.
