Wonder why the photos disappeared there?
I'm still working on product of course. I skip a day here and there of course just to give my imagination a refresh. I'll try to get some pics up here soon. Putting the finishing touches on the fake bake bread this weekend. Got most of my wood pieces base coated and ready to finish. Still a few left to do. Also have some pieces to transform from vintage type containers (vase, sleigh, etc.) just to see if I can get good at it. More fake bake ideas for air dry clay and then on to paper crafting.
Basically it's like a rolling craft process around here. As I'm working on one thing the raw form of the next is getting ready to replace it. Hard to explain. It's craziness.
I always think I know exactly what I'm going to make and "that's IT!" then along comes another idea that makes me chase it! Almost everything I'm doing is new this time!
Trying to do the messy things outdoors so when the weather starts to turn to fall rain showers (it already is) I can do the finishing work and also the non-messy things (paper) indoors.
Preferrably with a nice pumpkin spice or maple butter wax warmer going and a nice movie to watch!
Sounds really nice. Hopefully the rain holds off a little longer. British weather just does what it wants. The forecast could say one thing and the actual weather is completely different. It's not too bad at the moment.
Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Winter spice and movies sounds lovely. I love that about winter and hot chocolates in PJs with blankets. Definitely the best part.
Aw thanks! Everything would be so much nicer and go more smoothly if it weren't for symptoms. It's been raining here every afternoon. I remember how rainy it was (and green!) in Paisley when I visited and Edinburgh (Those black face sheep in the green pastures on the bus ride from Glasgow...so beautiful!) freezing cold and windy! It never rained when we were in London, just cloudy some days but pleasant. A little Harry Potter-ish.
This afternoon (Tues) I got smart and took the painting inside which I don't like to do but the rain is getting in my way so...that's what I did with a movie going. I'm decorating the fake bake bread and base painting shelf sitters cut from pine wood. Base painted some wood candy canes as well. Once I've got the wood done, then I've got paper crafting, snowman ornaments, and some little sewing (or non-sew depending on what I decide) of bowl fillers.
The ones I'm doing are Primitive Country style things. I'll put an example here. You can also do it into ornaments (ornies) if you want. You can also use them for "tucks" which are like bowl fillers but can also also be put on sticks and ...tucked into things. I won't know what I end up with until I start doing it. It's just stuffed stuff but I love the style so much. I'll probably add more items as I tend to come up with ideas. While I'm working on one type I'm already dreaming up something else to make and how to make it. Some kind of craziness going on in my head all the time.
Primitive tucks, bowl fillers, ornies...these are not mine. They're meant to look old if you "grunge" them up. Grunge is a type of coffee or tea staining that often involves cinnamon, sometimes vanilla extract, nutmeg to make them look old and smell nice.
