Pakistan's recent agreement with Iran to allow transport of Iranian oil via Pakistani flagged ships may have negated any advantage the U.S. may be able to attain by its military actions against Iran. Commentators likened U.S. actions against Iran as an amateur chess player being challenged and humiliated by a grand master chess champion. Trump and his toadies have not thought this through well at all. Not surprising that Trump generally ignores the advice of the even the most undoubtedly competent and knowledgeable Generals and other advisors.

Diesel fuel has increased an average of $1.809 from a year ago. On the west coast (excluding California), it has increased $2.245. Almost every station I passed this morning it was over $6.00 a gallon.

The vast majority of food is transported via semi-truck in the US. Not to mention all of the other industries that utilize a lot of diesel.

Between this, and what's happening (and will continue to happen) with fertilizer, groceries are likely going to be pretty gnarly. Likely worse than the increase we saw when OPEC made Trump their little b*tch in 2020.
