Do you mind me asking what you do for a living, if you don't want to answer that's ok. I own a roofing company and a couple smaller businesses. We also own and manage 9 rental properties right now, that will be our retirement when my wife and I hit 60 if I can actually get them paid off by then which shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you! 20 some years ago I was roofing a house for a CEO of a medical company and he heard us talking about finances and how we won't have any kind of retirement because of our line of work. When we were done he pulled me aside and gave me some constructive criticism that changed my life and how I looked at investing. I had never heard of a Roth IRA. He said make sure you get a Roth IRA and start investing in real estate. I've done both now and couldn't be happier. My ultimate goal is to have 12 properties paid off by the age of 65 and just maintain the properties till I can't walk anymore. That's my American dream!
