Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS
Like we could get a knock at the door and find two burly Tongans, dressed in white shirts and ties, demanding to beat some gospel into us and make us repent for ever doubting the truth of the Interpreter Foundation. Maybe even get a Liahona subscription and a direct deposit of our paycheck into Ensign Peak Investments.
This is a bit like assuming AtlanticMike or Cultellus would take a deliberate overdose of horse dewormer for political reasons. Their overdose would be purely unintentional, secondary to the dewormer's reaction when combined with bleach.

Re: CALL FOR MODERATORS
Dear participants:
Although I see no reason to ever "close" the call for moderators, I think we can make a couple of decisions with confidence right now.
SPEAKING AS A MODERATOR:
Gadianton, please make Res Ipsa, Xenophon, and canpakes into moderators. Please also create a hidden forum called "The Moderator Forum" at the bottom of the list of forums (fora?), in its own group, so you, me, and those three can consult with each other, seek feedback on "iffy" calls, advise each other on technical knowledge that's necessary for moderating, etc. Just us five should have access for the time being, please.
SPEAKING AS A MAN:
It's about time I saved everyone from wasting any more keystrokes, so I'll just state, for the record, that Sledge will not, and will never, become a moderator here. Not now, not in a million years, not ever. Why? Because of all the quotes Lem kindly provided us early in the thread.
Sledge, you say you were "just trolling Shades," but guess what? I can clearly see that this bogus volunteerism to be a moderator is simply you continuing to troll me. Nice try, but not even I am that gullible, and that's saying something.
Now, I'd actually prefer to have more moderators, not fewer. More eyes on the place more often means more violations can be caught and dealt with. dastardly stem seems to have all of the qualifications for the job, but I'm still not entirely convinced he wasn't kidding. Plus, he hasn't been around as long as the others, so what does everyone think? Should dastardly stem be made into a moderator?
Thanks for reading; your input is both welcomed and appreciated.

Excellent choices in my opinion.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 6:56 amDear participants:

It would be impossible for me to agree more with you. I find Gadianton’s position on Sledge utterly inexplicable. I’m staggered by what seems to be very poor judgement by the Dean. Has he been raiding the Sherry cabinet lately?SPEAKING AS A MAN:

dastardly stem would be a good addition in my opinion, assuming he was serious and has the time. Now, I'd actually prefer to have more moderators, not fewer.
