The problem with “ethno” nationalism is the costs associated with going from civnat to wignat. You can realistically lower immigration drastically and take the hit to the economy, but ensuring a white majority (as a civ nat would want, but they're hindered by the two-party system and opposition) is a matter of war at this point. Going fully white (whatever that means in the fractious racist communities) requires, again, genocide and civil war.
