God's top 10 priorities

God's Top 10 Priorities:

10) Whispering pearls of wisdom in Dubya's ear
9) Keeping Israel on the map
8) Sex....it doesn't matter if you're 15 or 500, you do it, God is watching and taking notes on your performance
7) Any medical procedures concerning any cells which in any way shape or form could possibly lead to life.....at some point...down the road
6) Hiding and switching evidence just to keep folks guessing
5) Helping that goofy looking redneck win the lottery
4) Making sure that various sports teams cover the spread
3) Finding lost remote controls and car keys-screw global warming or world hunger, Bonny must get to the store in time to get back and watch Marie Osmond shamelessly whore for points on Dancing with the Stars
2) Making sure the homos know there place and are kept in it
1) MONEY!!!

Actually, I think #1 preserving agency, no matter what the cost given the 2 Nephi 2 example.

Isn't the threat of death by angelic sword a clear indication that God wasn't interested in Joseph's agency in the case of polygamy?

I wouldn't think so. Even assuming the story true, God didn't posess Joseph's body and thereby force him to comply. Rather he threatened him. Agency is preserved in that Joseph could have made the other choice. Now, I grant that threats of death do change circumstances. I wouldn't hold someone as accountable for actions done to preserve their own llife. Obviously the costs of each choice change in those circumstances. Still, there are things I'd rather die than do.
