This website provides access to current and historical texts of the endowment, without exposing those few portions of the ceremony that are explicitly reserved for initiates.
I would agree that we can talk more about the temple rites than most think we can. However, I don't think I shall be perusing this site any time soon.
I think Trevor should look over this website because it highlights some of the points I had made prior.
Mormonism has culturally belittled traditional Christianity, and the earlier temple endowments only proves this more.
I mean they were literally equating Satan with protestant ministers!
Yet, if Protestants complain about Mormonism being somewhat "Satanic," the Mormons go completely ape-shit and insist they're bigots.
I want to thank this guy for doing this. I didn't know the history of endowments where they added vareity in the ways they equated Protestantism with Satanism. I also got a kick out of the way they changed it.

Considering the definition of Satanism, I never got the impression such equating was being made. However, I would certainly agree that the doctrines of Protestantism fall under the JS-H 1:19 assessment.
I doubt Duffy is a member of the Church. He has written in Dialogue or Sunstone (I can't recall which) on homosexual themes and claims to live the lifestyle.

Which proves my point . . .
Hmmm, which is the greater proof for your case, the accusation of homosexuality or having presented at Sunstone?

I'm a gay Mormon intellectual—voluntarily separated from LDS church life since 1995, excommunicated in 2007—who retains a testimony that God transforms people's lives through Latter-day Saint scripture and tradition.
How did you know? Was it your great priesthood powers of discernment or just the large round glasses in his resume picture?

To answer your question, no, I'm not inclined to research and find out who this guy's bishop is, and report him.
A fellow North Carolinian? I live in the Fayetteville area. Anyway, I think a Mormon teaching at Chapel Hill is probably a trial of faith in of itself. All the drum circles probably confuse and scare him...

I grew up in California, but I've been in NC since 1993. I live in Greensboro and teach in Winston-Salem.
